An Entertaining Summer

At almost exactly this time last year, I wrote a blog post called, Love in the Time of Corona where I talked about the isolation we were all experiencing and the small ways to find joy in the everyday.

At my home, Hope Hill, we coped through the very strict Bahamian lockdown by spending as much time as we could outside on the veranda. We also made it a point to set beautiful tables for every family meal. Dinners were complete with candlelight, wonderful food, and fun music.

We entertained ourselves just the same as if we were entertaining guests… Only on a smaller scale.

Now, as we’re all starting to cautiously dip our toes out of the Covid Days/Daze, I can’t say how nice the sudden influx of newly-minted vaccinated friends rushing to visit the island has been!
